"THERESE is spellbinding. A fantastic, large shape shows up on time with slim, charismatic lines as accessories. These unlikely companions with opposing attributes admit they need each other and cooperate for the greater good. The declaration of the narrow, colourful lines balances and accentuates the uneven edges, the darkness and the considerable size of the watery, layered inkblot. The latter's existence in turn creates respect and wonder for the decisive and essential work of the lines. The situation feels unsettled as if the silent and gentle movement will continue forever. The minimalist approach increases the visibility and the power of the few elements involved and signals artistic maturity, confidence and restraint.
