"MANDARINS AND PAPER is spectacular.  Two pieces of forbidden fruit visit a space totally covered in terrific, crumpled paper which conceals everything and halts any investigative probing into the story behind the scene.  The nature of the dull and lifeless, man-made material emphasizes the contrary juicy, colourful and plump presence of the mandarins.  They sit openly and daringly on a shelf, waving their exquisite, green leaves for attention in an elegant, choreographed routine.  The destructive tear in the paper serves as a memento mori and raises suspicion of a possible trap which should be seriously considered before risking it all for a taste.  The clever orchestration of visually-satisfying components, perfect colour, amazing and assiduous devotion to detail plus a stimulating and tempting situation occupy and furnish this superlative work."
